Students studied the structure of seed using gram seeds and bean seeds. The seeds were covered with cotton to provide warmth and watered. Seeds absorbed water and swelled up. Seed size increased and seed became soft. Students observed seed coat, cotyledons and embryo.
Seed germination under different conditions as
- dry and warm
- wet and cool place (in the refrigerator )
- wet and dark place
- wet, warm and light place
- wet, warm and dark place
- students observed the seed germination process and concluded seed germination requires water, optimum temperature and air.
- Both at light or dark place seeds germinate.
- Students enjoyed active learning.
