class vi activity to measure weight




Students measured mass using weighing scale  and weight using force meter . Students enjoyed taking readings using the articles as key chains, watch  and pouch.
They observed the stretch in the string due to heavy weight was more .
Precautions while performing activity to observe the zero mark of the scale before start was must to get correct reading .

SEED STRUCTURE AND GERMINATION CLASS IV ACTIVITY 18 OCTOBER TILL 23 OCTOBER


Students studied the structure of seed using gram seeds and bean seeds. The seeds were covered with cotton to provide warmth and watered. Seeds absorbed water and swelled up. Seed size increased and seed became soft. Students observed seed coat, cotyledons and embryo.

Seed germination under  different conditions as 
  • dry and warm 
  • wet and cool place (in the refrigerator )
  • wet and dark place 
  • wet, warm and  light  place 
  • wet, warm and dark place 
  • students observed the seed germination process and concluded seed germination requires water, optimum temperature and air.
  • Both at light or dark place seeds germinate. 
  • Students enjoyed active learning.

















DIWALI CELEBRATION IN SCHOOL VA

 Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, celebration in VA was done on 24, October  2019. 
Students participated in a class cleaning activity. 
Students brought homemade food for the class party. They shared the food with the school helpers. 
Students solved a Quiz given by the school eco-club to learn ways of clean Diwali . A rally was held by the Eco-club to spread awareness of pollution-free Diwali among the residents of the area.  
Students donated jute bags, pens to helpers. 
 Teachers explained the importance of clean green  Diwali. 
Tips for a green Diwali
  1. Avoid using electric lights to illuminate your home. Instead, opt for diyas (earthen lamps) and candles. This saves electricity.
  2. Dispose off waste properly after celebrations.


  3. Select eco-friendly gifts and decorating items.Students participated in a class cleaning activity. Students brought homemade food for the class party. They shared the food with the school helpers.
