REMEMBRING RAJA RAM MOHAN ROY ON HIS 246 th ANNIVERSARY

May 22  is celebrated  as the 246th birth anniversary of renowned social reformer Raja Ram Mohan Roy. He is 
 recognised as the "Father of the Indian Renaissance", who paved the way for a modern India.Raja Ram Mohan Roy was  born into on this day in 1772, in Radhanagar village in Murshidabad district of West Bengal.

Social reformist

Roy was a founder of the Brahma Sabha in 1828, an influential social-religious reform movement. The Brahma Samaj played a major role in reforming and modernising the Indian society.
Roy fought to abolish the practice of Sati. He established a number of schools to popularise a modern education system in India.

PETA India, based in Mumbai, was launched in January 2000. 

PETA India operates under the   simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on or use for   entertainment, while educating policymakers and the public about animal abuse and  promoting an understanding of the right of all animals to be treated with respect.

 

PETA India focuses primarily on the areas in which the greatest numbers of animals suffer the most: 

In the food and leather industries, in laboratories and in the entertainment industry. 


PETA India’s  investigative work, public education efforts, research, animal rescues, legislative work, special events, celebrity involvement and national media coverage have resulted in countless improvements to the quality of life for animals and have saved countless animals’ lives.

Students were taken to school herbal park to observe and learn characteristics of annual , biennial , perennial, herbs , shrubs , trees , mesophytes .
 Students  observed permanent slide of Amoeba and  Onion Peel Slide was prepared in the class  and they observed it under microscope .
They also did the same work in file .

INTER HOUSE COMPETITIONS DISCOVERY DESIGN 14.05.2018


















































An inter house competition titled "DISCOVERY  DESIGN " conducted   for  Class  V A  and VI A  students  .Students brought  eco friendly   waste material or  used plastic bottles ,wire ,  motors , mini fans from their playing kits and assembled them to make innovative things   from  it . Items made were beyond their curriculum .Students prepared Mini  air  cooler , flip book on heredity ,Robotic hand , Generator and Bubble machine .All the students participated with enthusiasm . Congratulations !to all the participants  and winners .Great effort by all the students . Finally  students  displayed   their projects for all the students  converting learning corridors. It was a    great learning and fun at the same time.
