Students learnt physical properties as density, melting point, boiling point, hardness, odour, colour, thermal conductivity, the electrical conductivity of various objects of daily use. They also learnt the chemical properties as flammability and reaction of objects with oxygen in the air. This helped them to relate why a particular material is put to a specific use.
