Class VI A students performed many activities to learn properties of matter as transparency .They learnt clear glass is transparent but cardboard or book is opaque .They could easily answer critical thinking questions as
1. why shopkeepers keep eatables in transparent containers ?
2. why few things float and others sink in water ?
3. why does a sponge being a solid shrink in size on squeezing ?
4. Cellophane sheet is transparent or translucent ?
Children enjoyed and quickly grasped the concept taught.
