Visit to Gurudwara 26 April, 2023

Class 4 and 5 learners  of Cambridge International had a  field trip to a Gurdwara- the holy place of worship of Sikhs which means “door to the guru” on April 26, 2023.Students visited Gurudwara Pushpanjali Enclave that is  in the vicinity of School. They had to wash their hands before entering the Gurdwara and cover their heads to show their respect towards the Granth Sahib. Learners  were amazed to see the place as it was beautifully decorated with lights and had an elevated platform which looked majestic.  Learners prayed to Guru Granth Sahib with their heads bowed down and hands folded. Learners were informed about the symbols in front of the altar which remind the Sikhs to stand up for justice. Each learner was given prasad by the priest as we were leaving the worship place.

A short and pious journey ended with a smile and sense of calmness on every learner’s face where they learnt that they need to respect all religions and each religion is different and has its own culture, art, language, customs and tradition but at the end of it, they all belong to one race which is Humanity.
