HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY 2019

Today India celebrated  70th Republic Day .


  • The central theme of the tableaux displayed was Mahatma Gandhi as 2019 marks the year of his 150th birth anniversary.
  • Assam Rifles tableau participated in the Republic Day parade for the first time in history.  The Assam Rifles tableau had women power on full display. 
  • The chief guest for the 70th Republic Day was South AfricanPresident Cyril Ramaphosa .
  •  South Africa and India have shared a special relationship right since the time of Mahatma Gandhi, who had a special connection with the African nation.
  • Ramaphosa is the second South African president, after Nelson Mandela, to attend the grand event as its chief guest.
  • President Kovind awarded the Ashoka Chakra — India’s highest peacetime gallantry honour — to Lance Naik Nazir Ahmad Wani, a militant-turned-soldier who was martyred while fighting a group of six militants in Shopian in Kashmir in November. 
  • Wani is the first Kashmiri to be conferred the Ashoka Chakra .The award was received by his wife and mother.
  • The artillery gun system M777 American Ultra Light Howitzers, recently acquired from the US, and K9 Vajra, a self-propelled artillery gun, showcased on Rajpath were new additions this year.

SPACE WORKSHOP 27DEC 2018

Space work shop at DAV Pushpanjali was organised . Students learnt to make hydrobots using pipes and syringes .Students enjoyed the workshop.Students also recieved kit to make same at home .

Rules:
•       Entries should be original. Plagiarised or copied entries will be disqualified.
•       One entry is allowed per child
•       The story or poem must be neatly typed in Word Doc
        Font: Times New Roman / Font Size: 12
•       Write Name, Date of Birth, Full Address and Contact Details at the top of the entry.
•       Entries will be selected by Manmeet Narang, Author and Founder of Sailing Leaf.
•       Selected entries will be published on our website www.kukdukoolitfest.com
•       Give away for all participants at the Kukdukoo Lit Fest on 2nd-3rd February 2019.
Guidelines:
•       Interpret the prompt the way you want. You can write either a story or a poem.
•       Entries should be in English.
•       Entries will be selected on the basis of originality and creativity.
•       Slight grammatical errors here and there will be ignored. It is important children freely express their ideas and      thoughts.
