class iv activity on evaporation and condensation (29.10.2018)

Students of iv  A  investigated the evaporation and condensation process. 
They  took two similar sized cups and added 100ml water in them . Glass A was covered with a plastic wrap and B was kept  uncovered . Students placed the cups under same environmental conditions in warm place . After two hours they observed the condensed drops of water on inner side of plastic wrap  showing condensation . Container B had less water as water had  evaporated  from uncovered container .
Students predicted  what will happen after the activity . The investigation proved their predictions correct . It was a fair test .
Students learned to use correct vocabulary to explain condensation and evaporation . 
Students learnt they can use evaporation  to separate water from impurities . They can use condensation to collect pure water .

Students of VI A performed  testing of starch in food item potato using iodine solution . They found  that  starch  turns blue black in colour when it comes in  contact with iodine . .

Class Investigating Evaporation IV UNIT 3 SCIENCE 9.10.2018

Students of class iv A poured equal volume of water  in different shapes of container and investigated the rate of evaporation .Same environmental conditions were kept of all four containers  kept for evaporation of water .

Students will plot  bar graph of their data collected . This activity developed their scientific skill. They learnt  skill to do a fair test . Keeping all factors  same and taking one factor different investigation of evaporation rate is done .

Class v activity on different changes around us 9.oct .2018

Students defined the change and presented their activty . This activity lead to  add more daily life examples of changes. Students were confident and clear about the change they presented . Class learning was  fun filled .

CLASS IV STATES OF MATTER

Class iv students performed activity on evaporation in class and leant that liquids turn into gas . 

They made a water spot on paper  and checked after ten minutes if it was wet or dry .Some papers were kept  in class room and few under the sun . Students learnt  heat makes evaporation faster .

Evaporation cools things down was also investigated by students as put hand sanitiser on hand .The heat from hand evaporate and change liquid to gas thus making hands feel cool.

Condensation was also  observed by students .

Students enthusiastically participated in class activites and learning  was fun filled activity. 

class v activity unit 3 Material Changes

Students performed simple experiments  in class to understand the meaning of change  and different 

type  of changes the occur all around them in their daily life .

Mixing water and milk power  to  form solution .Crystal structure of sugar is lost when it  dissolve  in water and this change is fast change .

An object candle can  melt  to change from solid to liquid but again turn into solid on cooling  is a reversible change where as same candle on burning forms smoke and soot particles . The candle vapours escape in surrounding air . This is irreversible change  .
