SEPTEMBER MONTH ACTIVITY - SKILLS REDEFINE





















CLASS VI A Yeast in bread making dough rise 25.09.2019

 Student performed an activity to learn that yeast a fungus help to make the dough rise by using sugar from dough to produce more yeast cell and carbon dioxide.

Yeast in use in bread making. 
Yeast uses the sugars and oxygen in the dough to produce more yeast cells and carbon dioxide gas. This is called multiplication. The carbon dioxide makes the dough rise which gives the bread light and spongy texture.





THE WATER CYCLE IN A BOWL CLASS IV A 25.09.2019




STUDENTS PREPARED A SET UP USING A BIGGER BOWL, SMALL CUP AND CLINGFILM.sTUDENTS PREPARED SALT SOLUTION AND POURED IN BIGGER BOWL. THEY FIXED A SMALL BOWL INSIDE AND COVERED IT WITH CLINGFILM.
IT  WAS KEPT FOR TWO HOURS IN OPEN PLACE AND STUDENTS OBSERVED THE VAPOUR FORMED AFTER EVAPORATION COOLED ON CLING FILM TO FORM DROPLETS AND COLLECTED IN SMALL CUP  KEPT IN CENTRE . THIS WATER IS PURE WATER.
STUDENTS ENJOYED THE ACTIVITY.











Mass and Weight activity V A 25.09.2019


Students performed an activity to differentiate between mass and weight. They used force meter to measure mass and took readings in newton (N). They used digital weighing balance to measure mass in grams.
Students enjoyed and thoroughly learnt the concept. 















Students also learnt the meaning of force as pull and push. They learnt two forces according to direction of movement of object as a vertical and horizontal force.

LEARNING THE CLASSROOM (GRAFTING) class v




In modern horticulture grafting is used for a variety of purposes: to repair injured trees, to produce dwarf trees and shrubs, to strengthen plants' resistance to certain diseases.
It is quicker than growing a whole new plant, saving even more time, as well as money and space. Grafting is commonly used to propagate most fruit and nut tree.
