The starch test activity was performed by class v students on potato and the chappati in their lunch box. Students found the yellowish brown iodine solution turns to blue black in colour with starch.
After chewing the chappati for a long time in the mouth and putting iodine on it does not change colour to blue-black as saliva digest starch into sugar.
