CLASS VI CHAPTER- AIR ACTIVITY

Class vi students visited science park in school premises and had hands on activity on propagation of sound through air  with Parabolic Dishes in the park.Two students stood  in front of the dishes with their mouth  at the ring provided in front of the dishes.One child spoke in feeble voice  and the other heard it clearly.

Sound waves from one person are  reflected  at the first dish  travel in straight line  to the second dish  and converge into a single point and we hear a clear voice.

They  also learn sound has property of reflection , convergence and divergence like light.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO THE STUDENTS

VISIT TO AIR FORCE MUSEUM on 22.12.2016

Students of vii a  cbse i visited  Air Force Museum on  22nd December 2016.Museum has a collection of aeroplanes & armoury  that depicts the history of the Indian Air force . It has a vast collection of aeroplanes and armoury on display. The Museum entrance features an indoor display gallery that contains historic photographs, memorabilia, uniforms and personal weapons of the Indian Air Force from its inception in 1932. The gallery leads to a hangar exhibiting small aircraft and Air Force inventory like anti-aircraft guns, vehicles and ordnance. Larger aircraft are exhibited outside the hangar. This outdoor gallery contains aircraft that also displays several war trophies, radar equipment and captured enemy vehicles.

 

TRANSACTIVITY CLASS V UNIT 7

CLASS V  students made mini windmill in class under unit 7 Transport    and communication.It was a  Transdiciplinary activityScience and Visual arts named Power of wind .They used  square origamy sheets to prepare them.

QUIZ    ON     INTERNATIONAL   ORGANIZATION BY   CLASS VI A AND 
VII A

International organization  quiz was organized by international understanding club  class vi a  cbse -i  with aim to  enhance  students  knowledge  on various  international organization and their   functions . There were five teams.Each of which comprised a vi class and  a vii class student. Topics of the quiz ranged from international organization  involved I various activities around the world , their logos , their aims  and their headquarters  . After five rounds   of questions winners were declared  and awarded prize.Audience also took part in quiz by answering some questions     and won prizes .

CURRICULUM INTERACTION IN CLASS VII A

Curriculum interaction was held for class viia cbsei   in DAV pushpanjali Enclave .

All the subject teacher  discussed about the manuals of their  subject , their teaching methodology ,activities done for concept clarity and how parents can help their ward to improve  in   academics.

Discussion was also held regarding SEWA, Perspective ,Research  and Life Skill activities  that form core of cbse i Curriculum . Parents were requested to keep check on  Regular home work submission by students  ,  enhancement of  communicative  skill in students  , usage of internet  and minimising use of mobile  for inquiring home work.

Parents expressed their gratitude for organising such  interaction  .

CLASS VI AIR CHAPTER ACTIVITIES

Class vi a cbse i performed  group activitis for Chapter AIR where each  group experimentally proved one of the property of air .

Siddhi , Lavanya ,Daiwik ,Dev and Amadhya proved that air has MASS .

Riyanshu , Sophie ,Arjun and Mehul proved Air exerts Air Pressure .

 Samridhi , Palak  ,Chirag  ,Yugal and Jeevansh  Proved  One -Fifth of air is Oxygen.

One of the  groups proved Air is Colourless and Odourless.
One of the group proved Air  occupy space ,
One of the group  made anemometer to measure wind  speed.

Hands on with water class v

In unit 8 AIR and WATER class v students  enjoyed  hands on experiments with water and air  .They  observed the surface of water bulges upward. A card board sticks to the glass of water .They learnt it was not a magic glass butthere is science behind it .It is the  air pressure that  acts on  the cardboard. Water was filtered by filteration method  and saturated solutions  was prepared by students .   Students learnt properties of air through  demonstrative activities  done by class vi A students. The  demonstrations done by class vi A students developed confidence  in them and brushed up their  kinesthetic skills .

Students visit to National Physical Laboratory for India International Science Festival 9December, 2016

Students of class vii a  Sarweshwar, Saral mishra , Tanush , Yash aggarwal 1 and Sarthak Sharma  went to National National Physical Laboratory   for India   International  Science Festival   . They saw many projects displayed  by students  in the laboratory .It was a great                                                                       learning experience.
